Apple on Tuesday introduced the iPhone Air, calling it the “thinnest iPhone ever.” Measuring just 5.6mm, the new model combines a lightweight build with high-end performance.

CEO Tim Cook described the device as delivering “pro performance in a thin and light design.” The iPhone Air features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Its design pairs a titanium frame with a ceramic shield for enhanced durability.

Powered by the new A19 Pro chipset, Apple says the phone offers the fastest smartphone processor on the market, with a six-core CPU. Energy efficiency has also been boosted with iOS 26’s Adaptive Power feature and the N1 wireless chip, cutting consumption by up to 30 percent.

The camera system includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 18MP front-facing camera with Center Stage support. The device supports only eSIMs to maximize battery capacity, and Apple claims it can deliver all-day battery life.

Available in black, white, gold, and sky blue, the iPhone Air is priced at USD 999. Apple is also launching updated MagSafe accessories and custom cases alongside the phone. The release comes just ahead of the rollout of iOS 26.
